Blige and Usher take top billing at this year’s festival. “We’ve had a lot of great performances at the festival in the past, but this year is going to be truly big,” said Fran Santangelo DiBattista, marketing director for the Santangelo Group when announcing the 2017 lineup in January. The 2017 Cincinnati Music Festival kicks off Thursday with one of its most ambitious lineups in the R&B event's 50-plus-year history, according to promoters.
